The official web site of the USS VINDICATOR

The USS Vindicator is a chapter of STARFLEET, The International Star Trek Fan Association, Inc. Originally chartered in 1998 in Lexington, South Carolina, the Vindicator recently transferred its base of operations to Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The goals of the Vindicator reflect those of the parent organization: to promote Star Trek and Star Trek fandom, to be active in community service, to promote education and to further space exploration and research.

MEET THE COMMAND STAFF

The USS Vindicator is currently under the command of CAPTAIN KEN EVANS. Evans, in STARFLEET service since 1996, formerly served as Executive Officer aboard the Shuttle Emerald Star before transferring to a position as Science Officer aboard the Vindicator in 1998. Capt. Evans is a lifelong resident of Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

REAR ADMIRAL RON FELL currently serves as the Vindicator's Executive Officer and second in command. Fell is a veteran STARFLEET officer who joined the organization at a 1992 Star Trek convention in Knoxville, TN. After brief service aboard the USS TriStar in Knoxville, RAdm. Fell was the founding CO of the USS LeConte, now the Bennu Station, out of Gatlinburg, TN. He was the Vindicator's first CO, launching the chapter in November, 1997.
In "real life" Ron is an accomplished actor/entertainer/broadcaster with more than twenty-five years in the entertainment field. He is currently employed by a major national broadcasting group at one of its Columbia, SC radio affiliates.

VICE ADMIRAL JOHN T "JACK" HOPKINS serves as the Vindicator's Chief of Operations and third in command. VAdm. Hopkins joined STARFLEET in 1990. He has held numerous Fleet-level positions including STARFLEET Quartermaster and Inspector General, STARFLEET. RAdm. Hopkins is the former CO of the USS Phantom, a shuttle off the USS LeConte. He formerly served as Vice-Regional Coordinator for Region One.
Outside STARFLEET, Jack and his wife, Becky, live in the Winston-Salem, NC area where Jack is employed as a computer programmer and PC analyst.

CAPTAIN KRISTI FELL is the Vindicator's Chief of Communications. After joining STARFLEET in Tuscaloosa, AL in 1995 the former Kristi Evans signed aboard the USS Hephaestus in Birmingham and soon launched the Shuttle Emerald Star in Tuscaloosa. After meeting and marrying RAdm. Ron Fell, she transferred to the Vindicator as Chief of Operations. Capt. Fell formerly served as the Director of the Office of Graphic Design, STARFLEET.
A Commercial Art and Graphic Design graduate of Shelton State University in Tuscaloosa, Kristi is employed as a graphic artist for a Lexington, SC sign shop.

STARFLEET, The International Star Trek Fan Association, Inc. is the world's oldest and largest fan-run Star Trek organization. Founded by a group of dedicated Texas Star Trek fans in 1974, STARFLEET today spans the globe with more than four thousand members and over two hundred fifty chapters. STARFLEET is a registered not-for-profit corporation involved not only in Star Trek fandom but in channeling the energy of that fandom into community service, education and the promotion of space exploration and research.
